The beach with the unique name is a sight to behold. Just after Aigio, the settlement that many consider to be the Hamptons of Achaia, hides a small gem. A beach with crystal clear waters and… immeasurable depths. The settlement of Akoli is relatively new and has been built according to an urban plan with spacious vertical streets. It features a football field with grass, a primary school and kindergarten, and a holy church. During the summer months, traffic in the western part of the coastal zone (which is paved) is also pedestrian-only, as vehicle entry is prohibited for the duration of the tourist season. The expansive beach consists of pebbles, and natural shade is limited. The depth of Akoli is a challenge for the brave. Masks are essential in such depths.
